And then I fell again.
This has been, in some ways, the worst year of my life. We're still recovering from last fall's miscarriage (I guess that was fall 2012?) and my work situation has gotten very very toxic.
We are still on a sort of DD break but I have promised to take some initiative in getting ready to start again. I think just starting up a fresh dialogue might be helpful.
I'd love to hear how you all have been, and get reacquainted with new folks.

Well, good to see you resurface! We have started up again, at least as to rules. Have not had the occasion to exercise the discipline aspect.
As you can see looking at the newer posts, there are still a few of us who check in here. Maybe we will witness a revival.

That sounds like a VERY tough time. I didn't realise you were trying to have a baby. Makes sense as to why you and JA have been gone so long.
Me and T are firmly together these days. TTWD comes and goes, as does everything in real life, but I much prefer the reality of being with him, than all the dreaming of what it could be like to live a DD life. He has given up a job he hated. We sold his flat so he has enough to tide over until a pension starts next year. So now he's able to write which is his passion.
We are both hard at it in therapy these days, which makes getting the D/s balance complicated. But not impossible. And as we are both "wired" for it, it's always there in the background.
Good luck restarting things. I hope you find the space.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties...that can be a really trying time emotionally and physically.
E and I are still practicing TWD, although of course, its not always perfect. He gets busy and works out of town more now, and discipline tends to go by the wayside while that's happening, but it is what it is. Were getting married in October, so the impending nuptials have me busy too.
I also left the company that I've worked for forever and went out on my own. Scary but really exciting.
I hope everything settles some for you...if there's any thing we can do to help, or if you just need to process, have at it!
