This thing we do

I spanked G even though we have G "s ex and ex's partner staying with us. I really wanted to spank ex too. I figured that G wants to be spanked, ex and her partner do this too, ex and G spanked each other when they were together and so what the hell. I took G to my office and I proceeded like I would do if others were not in the house. I did not even try to pick really quiet implements. G got all whiny and wiggly in the corner, so I corrected her again. It was a little shaky seeing them afterwords, but we got past the awkwardness. I did take the dog for a walk, but when I came back it was not as bad as I had worried it might be and ex apologized. It was a bit disconcerting to realize I could have cheerfully turned ex over my knee and paddled her too.

i think GF is lucky to have such a brave top, although i probably would have hated it happening to *me*. well, hated the embarrassment and discomfort, but loved the sense that someone would take care of me and keep me in line even if it were embarrassing for both of us.

something i've noticed with w is that once she connects with her right to rein me in, she feels a lot more empowered with other people as well. (fortunately, she's able to translate that into tone and body language with her students, rather than actual spankings. she likes her job, and there's no corporal punishment in the schools here.)

I've become a bit looser (firmer?) about this whole thing. In all honesty though, I would not have spanked her in the house had it been her family down the hall or anything like that. I find am not really concerned about her friends knowing or strangers for the most part. Family is still another matter. I used my professional voice on both of them which resulted in an immediate change in attitude which almost made me laugh and at first I thought they were playing with me. I sent ex to their room (she actually went without protest - I tried not to appear flabbergasted) and sent G to my office. I don't know how to explain it, but I really did want to spank ex too. I am still working through that reaction.

T I would think in that situation wanting to spank ex as well seems natural to me and fair! It made me laugh that they responded so well to your professional voice. I have recently found myself responding to someone else's scolding me via the net just because they're a blue. What's that about? Respect I think. So maybe that was the same here?

i think this speaks well for your good sense and restraint. you know the boundaries, and know when it's appropriate to give GF what for, and when you need to make her wait.
